Maintenance Mechanic
Incumbent is an integral team member in the park's maintenance division and is supervised by the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist. Incumbent is responsible for preventive, corrective maintenance activities of equipment for Park Potable water, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical infrastructure systems. Incumbent serves as a certified water operator of 3 independent ground source water disinfection treatment facilities. Incumbent maintains, operates, repairs and alters the electrical control of these systems and the park's fire and intrusion alarm system. Incumbent maintains repairs and alters plumbing fixtures in the park. Incumbent's work is to be performed safely. Other duties may include custodial, grounds care, snow removal and painting. Incumbent's work will be performed in both interior and exterior settings, in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces. These conditions can include dark and dimly lighted areas, in confined space, as well as attic and crawl spaces of buildings. The possession of a Kansas State Class 1 Water Operators' certification or equivalent from another state, is a condition of employment.
